Gentlemen:
We have stopped payment on our check no. 519 dated July 9, 1974 given in payment of your bill to the University of Western Ontario dated July 8, 1974.
You charged heavily for equipment not used (in particular a "Tilt & Load-Machine Truck). Your men were profane, lazy, and incapable of giving the kind of assistance that we needed.
If you will return our check no. 519 on which payment was stopped we will promptly issue a new check in the amount of $500. which we consider to be a very generous payment for the assistance received.

Dear Sir:
Enclosed is a copy of the bill which was issued to our company for assistance in moving a hydraulic press into your University. We had specified that we would need the assistance of a large crane to lift this equipment from our truck into the University.
When we arrived, no such equipment had been arranged for, nor did the company have any alternatives for this needed equipment. Indeed, we used equipment which we ourselves had brought for this purpose.
Part of this bill is for shoring up the floor of the university so we could move the equipment into the necessary laboratory.
We submit copies of the bill and our answer to this bill so that the University may understand the problem and in case duplicate billing may have been sent to the University.
